Christmas Newsletter 2025

As we near the end of another memorable term, I am pleased to present our Christmas newsletter. Please take a moment to explore the pages ahead, which highlight the remarkable activities and achievements that have defined recent months at our school.

I want to begin by acknowledging the outstanding Leaving Certificate Class of 2025. Their exceptional results reflect the calibre and dedication of these fine young men. It fills us with immense pride to watch them embark on their next adventure, and we extend our very best wishes for their future endeavours.

Equally encouraging were the Junior Cycle results in October—sincere congratulations to all those students who received their outcomes. We're delighted to see them excelling as they transition into Transition Year and Fifth Year programmes.

Our newest cohort, the First-Year students, have adapted remarkably well to secondary school life. It's especially encouraging to see the emerging friendships and the way these young boys are responding positively to both the academic challenges and the wide range of co-curricular opportunities available to them.

I want to take this moment to thank the entire staff team. Their steadfast dedication and professionalism foster a supportive, academically enriching environment that enables our students to thrive.

The following pages showcase the wide range of experiences our students have taken part in since September. The energy and enthusiasm our students bring to school life are truly inspiring. This wouldn't be possible without staff members who consistently volunteer their time and expertise, for which I am deeply grateful.

To our parents and guardians: your partnership is invaluable. By working collaboratively, we uphold the exceptional standards that characterise CBS The Green. Thank you for your ongoing trust and support.

A heartfelt thanks to Ms Caroline Crowley for compiling this detailed Christmas newsletter, which captures the vibrancy of our school community.

As we conclude this term, I extend warm Christmas wishes to students, staff, families, and everyone connected with our school. We look forward to continuing our shared journey in holistic education throughout 2026.

Le gach dea-ghuí,

Robert Flaherty.
